Block Watch Update:
One homeowner’s vehicle was stolen last night, another was gone through and items were taken. Both crimes have been reported to the Bothell Police Department.
The Chestnut Glen Block Watch wishes to remind all homeowners to:
- Be vigilant and keep an eye out for suspicious activity, vehicles or individuals.
- If you spot anything you feel is suspicious, please report it to Bothell Police immediately by calling 911.
- Call the police even if you are not sure about a suspicious activity. It is far better to call for no reason, than to not call when a crime is in progress. The Bothell Police remind us that they would rather have you call, even if you are not sure whether there is a crime happening or not.
- Please report any crimes, after the police have been notified, to the Chestnut Glen Block Watch coordinator, Julie Erichsen, via the Contact Us page.
- Do not keep automatic garage door openers in vehicles at night. If your vehicle is broken into, they will have your opener and access to your home at any time.
- Also remember to keep all doors, vehicle or those in your home, locked at night or when you are away. Most of these crimes are crimes of opportunity, and an unlocked door or window provides easy access.
- Do not keep items of value in your vehicles at night, even if they are locked. If you must keep items of value in your car, keep them out of sight.
